Charly Schaller - Finite Flame [LAP]

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Charly Schaller. “Finite Flame” comes off the new V/A compilation, LAP Issue II, from the new label division of Hamburg’s famed [PAL] club. Divided in two parts, this second issue contains 18 tracks from the club’s residents, collaborators and more for a diverse offering covering all corners of the electronic spectrum. Today we host Berliin-based Charly Schaller’s track which is a heavy, burning piece of techno which leaves a lasting mark.

Ahead of the release, Schaller had this to say about the club and more:

PAL is a club that means a lot to me: It's the home of Edge Detection
and I will always remember playing my second ever club gig there at the
first Edge Detection party in 2018!! Every time I've played there, I've
had a wonderful experience with the crowd, the staff and other artists
(and the bomb soundsystem 😉 ). Therefore, it makes me particularly happy
to have my second release on PAL's new label LAP and am very grateful
and proud to be on this VA compilation!

LAP Issue II is out January 20th and you can pick it up on Bandcamp.

ROÜGE - Cosmic Mission (Detriti)

The Brvtalist is pleased to present a new track from ROÜGE. The French artist delivers her debut LP, Ultimatum, for Berlin’s Detriti Records and today we premiere “Cosmic Mission”, one of our favorites on the album. For the release, the artist, sought to create a video game quest, from the discovery of a new world to the final fight. She has definitely done that, using her fresh take on techno infused with EBM and cyberpunk to create a whole universe. ROÜGE has been one of our favorite new artists to watch as of late (see New Brvtalism No. 255), and after this debut, we are definitely looking forward to more.

Ultimatum is out February 1st and you can pre-order the Digtal HERE and vinyl HERE.

Octalisk - Hiddensee (Gunmetal Dub) (SPL)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere “Hiddensee (Gunmetal Dub)” by Octalisk. The sounds of Octalisk heavily reflect an ongoing dynamic struggle; treated organic sounds crashing into experimental synthetic processing, ethereal atmospheres escaping dark subterranean void, exoteric dancefloor rhythms meshing with esoteric digital decomposition. "Hiddensee” is the Boston based label & event team SPL latest release; a murky and sprawling piece of industrial-tinged dub techno gives its DNA to two more precise and dance floor oriented offspring.

The release is out now on Bandcamp.

New Brvtalism No. 262 - Ôneyra

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Ôneyra. Beginning in Dublin in 2016, she’s moved multiple times between Berlin, London and back to Dublin again taking an influential slice from each city. From running club nights, her own label and building herself up as a Dj and producer, Ôneyra shows no signs of slowing down as she sinks her teeth into all corners of the industry. Her productions are crafted with a subversive darkness trying to escape yet made to pummel the dancefloor.

Her deep dark lullabies scream distortion which coil and constrict the frail edges of reality to bring us into her imaginary world. Her sonic identity, which she continues to build, focuses on industrial and punishing techno. Her mix for The Brvtalist does exactly that. Starting the year off with this massive 2.5 hour journey through her dark, powerful sound. We look forward to more from her this year.

Vighil - Alien Maze (SPDL001)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by Swiss artist Vighil. His brand new label Speed Dial consists of releases around personal visions of his reality. “Systemic Errors” is a 2-tracker hypnotic/industrial techno EP that reflects on the perspective of a more and more complexified world and the systems that holds it together. The Speed Dial series is a project to drain your mental load, a soundtrack to drain the upsetting urgencies of this world.

We premiere today “Alien Maze”, a dark and atmospheric sequence where the listener might feel absorbed by the repetitive rumbling kicks & mystic pads.

The release is out digitally January 29th on Bandcamp.
