Raroh - Storming Near The Baltic (CRSCNT01)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere “Storming Near The Baltic” by Raroh. The track comes off the new V/A on Crescent London, a new deep & hypnotic techno label centred on ambient textures and dub elements. Named "Magnetic Fields", the V/A is focusing on electric atmospheres and textures, locking the listener deep in the groove and the hypnosis. From drone and euphoric atmospheres to detailed broken-techno, the compilation displays a textured view on contemporary techno, elegant and mental, yet ready for the clubs to re-open.

The V/A is out on October 20, 2020 and you can pre-order it on Bandcamp.

Teragon - 02 (Flagelante) *Video Premiere*

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from Teragon. One of the three popes of darkness of the Flagelante Order, his preaching revolves around dualism - lightness and Darkness, softness and heaviness, doom and hope, yin and yang. One cannot exist without the other, as such, his music is a trip between these states of mind, in hopes to capture the essence of existence itself and bring redemption and balance to the world.

The artist’s latest release is titled CADENT IN VMBRA SVMVS, and is a powerful journey through industrial, occultism and beyond which will leave its mark on your psyche. Today we are thrilled to share this video for the 02 track created by DAS MONSTRVM and captures the haunting mood of the track.

The release is out October 7th and you can pick it up on Bandcamp.

New Brvtalism No. 249 - Bexa

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Bexa. The emerging Polist artist first appeared only last year but has taken the country by storm, DJing at some big events such as INSTYTUT Rave Arena and during ASID Global at Szyb Krystyna - an abandoned hoist tower of a former coal mine. Her style is influenced by apocalyptic cyber futures and she always transfers her high energy to the dance floor. We are thrilled to host this set which traverses her fast paced sound.

Stoked to share Kris Baha’s upcoming track “Behave'“ on his imprint Power Station, out on October 1st, 2020. A hypnotic sequence guiding the listener through the piece as sonic sirens screech from the cavernous dystopian wastelands of 2020.

THOQY Premiere + New Brvtalism No. 248 - X&trick

Today we have a double header from Belgian imprint Rave Alert Records. The label has been on a tear as of late brining us a diverse selection from across the “Neorave” spectrum. The upcoming release by THOQY is no different - a killer 4 track EP from the ex hardstyle producer. Today we premiere “Don’t Give It UP”, which is my favorite on the release. In addition, we are also proud to present a new mix from X&trick. The Rave Alert founder delivers a dizzying mix of the neorave sound with some of unreleased material inside as well.

Listen below and pick up the THOQY release on Bandcamp.

December - A Hundred Years Without You (Veyl)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by December. This is the title track off the new EP forthcoming on Veyl. Known for his dilapidated vocal electronica and releases on Jealous God, Blackest Ever Black and L.I.E.S., December returns to Veyl with A Hundred Years Without You, a powerful five track EP which finds the artist in top form, bringing us his unique brand of post-punk influenced electronics. From the artist:

This record is about absence. Absence of change, of better days, of delights and pleasures that are still to be invented. Longing for better times, missing something that hasn’t happened yet but needs to come, being nostalgic of the future like a cold empty bed longs for warm bodies. Cause the present is resisting, holding on to the comfortable violence of the status quo, closing the castle’s gates ; trying to keep its land, its power and its crown. We can already feel the breeze of the unknown, the urge of better times slowly unfolding, the flames getting stronger. But we’re not there yet. The road will be long and exhausting. I feel like I have been waiting for you in this cold empty bed for a hundred years already and I can’t wait to set it on fire.

The EP is out September 28th on vinyl + digital and you can order it now on Bandcamp.

10 Years of Dame-Music (Premiere + Q&A)

Today, we celebrate 10 Years of Dame-Music, one of the most respected vinyl focused labels for lovers of acid, techno and beyond. Started by Bloody Mary a decade ago, the label has maintained a brilliant flow of forward thinking releases while still firmly rooted in the pioneering sound of the past. To mark the milestone, the label is releasing two volumes of v/a comps which feature talented producers from across the spectrum. With Volume 1 out this week, today we premiere Tin Man’s “Acid Ring” and we also asked Bloody Mary a few questions about the label and what’s next for her (see below).

The Brvtalist: For those who don't know, tell us about starting the label and some thoughts about how it's evolved to this point.

Bloody Mary: I started Dame-Music in 2010, when the vinyl sales were not at their best. I've always wanted to have full creative control of my output, and to share a platform with artists who have the same musical state of mind as me. I've been lucky on my journey that I've met many producers who, after all the years of working together, I can call friends. Being in the "scene" for more a decade without my own imprint wouldn't have been possible for me. I know what I want, who I want to work with (or not...) and I'm thankful that there's still plenty of vinyl lovers out there to this day.

Bloody Mary by Fernanda Mattos

TB: Tell us about the idea behind and a little about the 10 year anniversary release.

BM: At the beginning I wanted to release 8 tracks made by 8 different artists on a double vinyl. The releases were originally planned to come out in May/June 2020 and a series a label nights were confirmed in different countries. But with the pandemic thrown into the mix, the plan changed. Finally I decided to split the release across 2 volumes, one for the end of September and one for the end of October. The choice of these artists was to celebrate 10 years with artist friends as well as other artists who perform live and who inspire me.

TB: I know it's hard to plan, but what are your plans for the winter?!

BM: My plan for the winter is to finish a couple of EPs for some labels I really respect, to build a complete new live set and to work on a special project that I plan to release in spring 2021. I will continue to take care of my health, doing a lot of sport and spending time with the people I love.

Thanks to Bloody Mary for speaking with us and you can pick up the release on BANDCAMP.
