T Y - Siła (VTSS Remix) (Carnivor)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from T Y. “Siła (VTSS Remix)” comes off the excellent new EP, Feeding Generation Z, forthcoming on Warsaw’s Carnivor Records. Generation Z has grown up in a world shaped by consumerism and a rapid pace of change. Be it from the phone in your pocket to the way we communicate socially and artistically. Modern times are fast paced and exciting but at points can become overwhelming. A constant push for information and a pressure to produce shaping the way we work and create.

For this release T Y combines 28 years of life and musical experience to capture the moment and a generation with tracks moving through the sound spectrum while remaining in the techno-verse. Today we are excited to host this powerful remix from renown Polish artist VTSS.

The album is out September 30th and you can get yours now on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from NOTAUSGANG. Raised by punks, nourished by old heavy rock and cult B movies, the Paris-based artist creates noisy and gritty tracks with his old and new electronics weapons for your pleasure. With EPs released on Tripalium Corp and Parfé Records, playing all over Europe before the crisis... and all over his home studio after... he describes his music like inaudible sounds, with forthcoming EPs on X-IMG, Phormix and more.

Lunchmeat Festival 2020 *3rd Announcement*

Lunchmeat Festival, an annual international festival dedicated to advanced electronic music and new media art based in Prague, is announcing the 3rd and final batch of artists! Among the new names we can find legendary producer Shackleton, who connects bass music with avant-garde and the Amsterdam duo Know V.A., returning to the legacy of hardcore music of the early 90’s. Producers Nkisi and Aqauarian are coming to Lunchmeat as well. Its 11th edition is planned for the end of September and the beginning of October 2020 in various locations in Prague.

“We feel obliged to make this year´s Lunchmeat happen” says Jakub Pešek, head of the festival. “We want to give musicians a chance to play and for people to enjoy something extraordinary. Even with these complicated conditions we have to look for possibilities to create events like this - following all the necessary safety precautions, but not living in fear.”

The organizers count on all of the variations of attendance limits, but even if the limit is lowered, Lunchmeat will happen as planned, according to Pešek. “We want to keep the scene moving and send a message that it is possible to do things” he adds. In accordance with the government’s regulations on banning gatherings after midnight, the start time of the programmes were moved to 6 PM (Thu, Fri), and 4 PM (Sat).

***Important***

According to the newest government measures, indoor events will be able to take place only under the condition that each participant of the event will have a designated place to sit. That means each of you will have a particular seat at all the Lunchmeat Festival 2020 events. When having the seat, the dancing is not prohibited. The venues are large enough to provide comfort and enough space for you to feel safe.

We still see you dancin'

"A place assigned to each of the participants of the event means creating a certain distance among others. However, this does not mean that it is not possible to dance in space. People who have their allocated place can normally move around the space. It will still be possible to organize, for example, balls and other events. However, each participant in such an event will have to have their place to sit," said Professor Roman Chlíbek, head of the Epidemiological Group at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in the official press release.

We feel obliged to make this year's Lunchmeat happen. We want to give musicians a chance to play and for people to enjoy something extraordinary. Even with these complicated conditions, we have to look for possibilities to create events like this - following all the safety precautions, but not living in fear. MAYa & Tolga Baklacioglu - Home (Martial Canterel Remix) (Vent Recordings)

The Brvtalist is pleased to present a new track from MAYa & Tolga Baklaciolgu. “Home (Martial Canterel Remix)” comes off the fresh new remix EP which is a follow up to the duo’s 2019 Kına LP (Vent Recordings). It’s a great release featuring some of today’s most prolific artists including Silent Servant, Decimus and Palestinian beatmaker Muqata’a. Today we are thrilled to bring you the powerful and heartfelt mood and unmistakable synthlines of the one and only Martial Canterel. The artist had this to say about the remix:

In approaching the work of my very dear and old friend, Maya, and her collaborator, Tolga Baklacioglu I wanted to situate differently the atmosphere and longing, to word it entirely otherwise. I wanted to dramatize this yearning for home and homeland, what the Welsh call Hiraeth. I want to place her plaintive strivings for home and tranquility in a festival of upbeat rhythms and releases.

The remix EP is out October 26th on vinyl + digital and you can pre-order it now on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist Premieres: Kujo - Sense Report (Rhadâb)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Kujo. “Sense Report” comes off the forthcoming v/a release, Al-Ibtihal. out this month on Moroccan imprint Rhadâb. Derived from the Arabic word, Ibtihal, meaning a hard state to reach - a double edged sabre, Al-Ibtihal is an attempt to transcribe this feeling into the physical world through both visual and sonic mediums. The hour long album engulfs the two opposed sides of the same coin, depicted by the A-side and B-side of the tape. The selected artwork captured by the talented Hind Moumou and gracefully edited by Hagen Ebejer portrays as a reminder that the Hand is a strong symbol of protection, most notably in the North-African and Arab culture.

The A-side is a collection of electronic rituals where endless evolving drones meet ambient distorded soundscapes. The B-side consists of martial pieces dedicated to War deities, with the introduction of tribal drums and beats. Today we premiere “Sense Report”, a track from the B-side which is a powerful and haunting experimental work from Kujo.

The album is out on September 21st on cassette and digital. You can pick up the digital on Bandcamp and the tape HERE.

E.L.I.A.S. - A Simple Disorder (Unconfined)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from E.L.I.A.S. “A Simple Disorder” comes off the big new v/a compilation, Quantum Entanglement, which also helps launch Glasgow’s Unconfined imprint. Handing over full creative control to their artists, Unconfined are setting out on an exploration of infinite sonic possibilities across the electronic spectrum. Born in Glasgow, but spreading its roots across the globe - from Turin to Taiwan. Founder and label head, Charl Fouche, believes the label’s criteria enables them to release a diverse selection of tracks: “There are so many varieties of techno. At the end of the day it is noises being morphed to sound a certain way. It all comes down to the individual listener and what sounds their ears choose to hear”.

A lot of thought and effort is put into making sure all the artists and tracks are somewhat complementing each other. Curating a label has been a goal of mine for years. Now I am finally able to create a movement which possesses infinite potential. Ultimately we want to help provide our artists - from the UK to South East Asia - with the ability to be heard worldwide.

This is the first of two premieres we will present this week and we start with this great, hard hitting yet hypnotic piece from E.L.I.A.S. which gives a taste of the compilations diverse set of sounds. Releasing September 18th, you can pre-order the release now on Bandcamp and other outlets HERE.

Gateway X - Drain (MarcoTerra Records) *Video Premiere*

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from Gateway X. “Drain” comes off the new release, Sun Never Sets, out this month on Italy’s MarcoTerra Records. Gateway X is a duo merging industrial tribalism, ambient and experimental soundscapes, with roots in hardcore and punk. Prior to their first incarnations as TG Syndrome and TGS, they had separately been part of the emerging noise and London underground techno scene of the 90's and active till this day. With Sun Never Sets, we see them back in crushing form with five tracks exploring darker areas of the human psych, while often dissonant. Made of industrial/post textures, the music also falls into an atmosphere forged with metallic drones and noise often surreal, a thrilling combination, oppressiveness sensations and experiences that are so intense and immersive.

This is a great release to pick up on digital format and you can get yours on Bandcamp.
