New Brvtalism No. 214 - Unhuman & Surit

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Unhuman & Surit. The collaboration between the artists began in 2018 with a great 12" release on Black Sun Records. Unhuman, best known for his output on Bite, Instruments of Discipline, Liber Null, Veleno Viola and more has carved a unique sound oscillating between power electronics, techno, EBM, noise and beyond. Well known for being half of punishing techno project NX1, Surit has released solo material on Body Theory, Nicz and his own Nexe Records imprint. The two are currently working on new music together and this mix was recorded after meeting again recently in Barcelona.

SDH - "No Miracles" Video Premiere

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the new video from SDH (Semiotics Department of Heteronyms). “No Miracles is the first single off the duo’s forthcoming EP, Against Strong Thinking, out February 14th on Brvtalist favorite Avant! Records. SDH’s 2018 self-titled debut album showcased the project’s poetic language and challenge of categorical thinking. Fusing post-punk, dark wave and more, the new EP continues down this path but the beats are deeper, the atmospheres are darker and the pair has crafted a phenomenal mix of melancholy and frenetic dance grooves. The video for “No Miracles” puts SDH’s layered sound and cruel sexiness on full display.

Against Strong Thinking contains 6 tracks which will be released on limited 12” with lyrics insert. To pre-order yours visit:

Tears For Fears Vol. 2 (Soil Records)

The Brvtalist is proud to present music off the new double cassette release, Tears for Fears Vol. 2, a massive V/A compilation from Soil Records. The evolution of Soil is based mainly on a clear industrial line, in a style which SOJ has been polishing as an artist and as well as being responsible for the platform itself. The label has evolved in other facets such as integration of renowned artists in its catalog - marked with both cassette and vinyl releases as well as digital. In June 2018, Soil released Tears For Fears Vol. 1 and now a year and a half later comes the massive follow up- a second part with 35 tracks and the current projection of the label. Tears For Fears Vol. 2 is a great showcase for artists and projects with consolidated trajectories, although some of them may seem more discreet with great variety of sub genres and interpretations.

To celebrate the release (which is out today!) we are featuring 3 tracks from the compilation - each a bit different but all represent what the label and comp is all about. The first is the ominous techno slayer, “Justice” from Argentinian producer and DJ, Distant. Next is the haunting nostalgia and devastating synths of Colombia’s Filmmaker and the third is a crushing electro-body work from the always great Raw Ambassador. The compilation also includes music from Adriana Petit, Bad Faith Actor, Unhealed, Nocturnerror, Unnaturalism and much more.

Pick this one up in double cassette format or on digital now on Bandcamp.

V Stók & Nicola Serra - "Static Transmission" Video Premiere

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from V Stók & Nicola Serra. A collaborative track between Sofia-born, Bristol-based artist V Stók and Dronica Festival founder Nicola Serra, "Static Transmission" fuses both of the artists' approach to contemporary electronics while creating something outside their usual comfort. The track is part of a new V/A compilation, Vanishing Standards, out now on Bulgarian imprint Amek. The compilation shares the same aim, where the label sought to extend beyond any usual boundaries and collaborate with like minded artists across the experimental, ambient dub and harsh drone spectrums. “Static Transmission” is a great extract from the release, and represents an ominous mental trip with hypnotizing visuals by Scual.

Vanishing Standards is out today and you can pick up there compilation on Bandcamp.
