The French-born, Berlin-based artist comes forth with a dark, crushing mix ahead of his set at our Six Years of The Brvtalist anniversary party on February 8th at Ohm Berlin. Also known as 1/2 of Imperial Black Unit, Lapse of Reason has released music on Khemia Records and has a forthcoming release on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe among other collaborations in the works. We are thrilled to have him playing our anniversary night and it will be one you don’t want to miss.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Figure Section. “Teutonic Knights” is the debut single from the Brussels-based duo comprised of Austrian-born musician and actress Olivia Carrère and Belgian industrial/techno activist Yannick Franck (Raum, Orphan Swords). The two artists quickly discovered their twin-like musical tastes and this lead to recording together. The result is Figure Section - a project rooted in cold wave, synth pop and more with an injection of modern sensibilities and spirit into the genres. “Teutonic Knights” is a great first track of infectious wave with an eerie atmosphere and frigid vocals.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from Totem. The project of Copenhagen's Christoffer Bagge, Totem is electronic post-punk which draws from multiple genres and deals with life and death, cleansing and catharsis after tumultuous years. Previously fronting acclaimed Danish band Metro Cult, "Figment" is a hypnotic work which beautifully highlights Bagge’s vocal and production prowess. The single precedes the upcoming self-produced album, Passage, and comes just ahead of a handful of live dates across Northern Europe. Formed in 2016, The Slave aims to breakdown any cultural or musical prejudice’s within the club world and focus on forward thinking releases. With their first offering, The Slave present a strong EP from one the cornerstones of the dynamic Copenhagen scene. “Lost My Mind” is a face-melting, techno destroyer which gets a big injection from Repro, another great Danish talent.

Based in Berlin and drawing inspiration from ‘musique concrète’, Ōtone is a sound artist, field recordist, performer, DJ, and founder of record label YGAM. For his contribution to New Brvtalism, the artist contributes a heavy set of industrial, techno and dark atmospherics.
YGAM is an independent record label and space for sound experimentation and exploration which develops and supports a plurality of projects in the field of electroacoustic and electronic music. On February 22nd, Ōtone will present YGAM’s first label night at Arena Club titled Nocturne - where bodies are invited to engage in an investigation of the dance floor's rhythmical occurrences and where he will take care of the closing set. The Brvtalist is pleased to present a full stream of the new EP by Some Ember. The California-born, Berlin-based artist crafts beautifully twisted dream wave, synth pop and beyond for a sound that is always infectious. Submerged is a four track EP which acts as a companion piece to the Submerging the Sun LP which was released this past fall on France’s Third Coming Records. Submerged picks up nicely, showcasing artist Dylan Travis’ hardware prowess and delicate yet haunting vocals. From the glistening melancholia of “Entombed” to the more rhythmic beats of “Peace of Mind” this is a fantastic release from one of the most consistent and versatile projects around.
