New Brvtalism No. 166 - Liza Aikin

The Brvtalist is proud to present an exclusive live set from Liza Aikin. The Berlin-based artist delivers a massive contribution of all original material consisting of haunting techno, industrial and more all prepared using analog hardware. After a decade of experience DJing, her focus shifted to production where she aims to recreate the sound and message she was missing through her favorite tools: field recordings,  modular and vintage synthesizers. With releases on MORD, Decoy, Ohm Resistance and more, she has quickly become a favorite of ours to watch.

The Brvtalist Premieres: Body Beat Ritual - "Instinct Primitive"

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by Body Beat Ritual. “Instinct Primitive” comes off the New Zealand-based artist’s upcoming EP for Brvtalist favorite HAVEN. The tracks fuse some of the best elements of the 80’s and 90’s EBM era with raw, crushing hardware rhythms and political fueled samples which render a wonderfully chaotic sound. We were instantly gripped by the stripped down aggression of “instinct Primitive” and there’s a lot more of that on the EP including remixes from Blush Response and the one and only VTSS. Out on February 8th on vinyl and digital. You can pre-order now on Bandcamp.

Antoni Maiovvi - Winter in Moscow

The Brvtalist is proud to present a live DJ set by Antoni Maiovvi. Spend your winter in Russia with this sultry mix by the Giallo Disco co-founder which was recorded on October 13, 2018 at an undisclosed warehouse location in Moscow. Special thanks to B.Ravers.

The artist has also shared a few words about his memories from the night:

Moscow was typically cold and I had some pretty great Russian dumplings beforehand and maybe a few too many vodkas so I slept in the hotel before the show. When I did arrive I was greeted by a pretty amazing, super futurist decor’d old warehouse club full of really good looking people. I drank scotch and two minutes before I was due on the power cut out. If anything it made it more dramatic when I started up. Good memories. Thanks to the team at B.Ravers. Mostly Giallo related plus some things I acquired on my last trip to Berlin. It certainly has some colour and shade to the whole thing, and I hope you enjoy this nice time capsule of a memory as much as I will in the future.
