CURA Berlin is an independent booking & management agency for artists in electronic music. Born out of an open air space that became a cultural stronghold in the Berlin club scene, their mission as a booking & management agency remains clear: CURATE. CONNECT. INCLUDE. The collective represents a diverse array of artists across the electronic music spectrum and for the first time part of the team will head to Latin America for some gigs and panels in Mexico and Honduras, presented in collaboration with Goethe Institut Mexico, PIAC and Hertzfilmmen.
On October 12th, the crew will join Mutek MX and Discos Movimentos for an event which will act as a sonic cultural artist exchange. The night will feature music by Cecilia Tosh, Kat Davids, MASCHA, Markalach ft. Iker Grandio (Live) and a secret guest. Expect more than just a party but a space where electronic vibrations and digital soundscapes meet to challenge the limits of perception. RA + tickets HERE.
The CURA team will also engage in a panel talk at Mutek which will cover failure and imperfection in the music industry. An always important topic, the talk will dive into the realities of the business, from low ticket sales, unpaid artist fees, cancelled tours and more. "Faults, Fails and Fuckups" will dive into these topics and cover how to keep moving forward, practice self care and ways in which we can all improve. A very timely topic of discussion.
Also on the menu of the CURA tour will be MASCHA. Out of the whole crew, MASCHA is the one that splits time in Mexico and in recent years has become an integral local artist. She has already played at several well known venues and events such as Funk Club, Brutal, Pervert and more. In Mexico City she supports Flinta Artists with her own DJ workshops and has a lot of upcoming dates and will be in Mexico until March 2025.
Towards the end of the month you can catch the crew at Modular Festival in Honduras, founded by Balto Pinto. There will be two days of music and also a Workshop held by the whole crew.
For the last weekend of the CURA Berlin tour they will celebrate Día de Muertos with a free event again with Discos Movimiento and the community of Mexico City.
Follow the team of Michelle Galleta, Cecilia Tosh, Kat Davids and MASCHA for all the information.
