New Brvtalism No. 271 - Ivan Halyha

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Ivan Halyha. The Ukrainian born, Poland-based promoter, DJ and producer brings a wealth of musical background to the table. Deeply-rooted in a black metal culture, as drummer in bands such as Dementria or Mord'A'Stigmata, Halyha has taken these elements and infused them into his electronic realms, combining the darkest techno merged with heavy post-punk, spiced up with some solid EBM and altogether embedded on a black metal foundations, with many atmospheric sounds. He is also an organizer of the well known Chaotic Cult event series, which The Brvtalist is set to play to celebrate the project’s two year anniversary. His set for New Brvtalism has is an excellent variety of his sounds, ranging from SUNN O))) to Broken English Club and lots of new talent as well.

Kill Shelter and Antipole - Burn Bright

Following the runaway success of their debut outing “Raise the Skies”, Kill Shelter and Antipole have just launched a second single from the forthcoming album, A Haunted Place, entitled “Burn Bright”. The track is a powerful fusion of both artists’ sound and weaves seamlessly through post-punk, cold wave and beyond for a work that is as haunting as it is infectious. The collaboration between Kill Shelter (UK) and Antipole (Norway) explores the theme of addiction and its impact on the human psyche and “Burn Bright” is as equally at home on the dance floor as it is on a domestic turntable.

“Lyrically, Burn Bright is full of layers for something so deceptively simple. It deals with themes of addiction in all its forms but it also has a strong element of salvation. Like all the tracks on “A Haunted Place”, the lyrics come from a very personal place and hopefully it’s something that some people can identify with along the way.” Pete Burns - Kill Shelter

“Burn Bright is another one of our more upfront songs taken from the album. It has a dark energy but there are also elements of melancholic fragility caught within the music itself. I think you can really hear the interplay between our guitar styles - there is a natural tension as they interweave throughout the track which I really like.” Karl Morten Dahl - Antipole

A Haunted Place will be released March 26th on Manic Depression Records and is available to pre-order on vinyl and CD via Manic Depression Records.

The Limited Edition vinyl variants sold out in a matter of days on the artists’ Bandcamp pages.

To support the single release, the Burn Bright video, again with post-production by Pete Burns, is premiering on Yami Spechie’s YouTube channel today on 4 pm (CET) and can be seen by clicking ont he image below...

PREMIERE: FOR. - Május 1. [EXILES]

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from FOR.. "Május 1." comes off EXILES first vinyl release Vacuum, an EP with 4 tracks and a powerful concept. The carefully designed sound effects of the new tracks, often inducing sharp noises of some nanotech devices or dismantled futuristic weapons, are almost always counterpointed with harsher sound textures, bold basses, and asymmetric rhythm structures. Accordingly, the recent EP Vacuum also aims to embrace various topics, such as politically engaged movements and militant aesthetics, monotonous labor and dehumanization, neo-industrial corporations, and virtual frontiers of future geographies that have yet to be drawn.

Out March 12th on Bandcamp. Pre-order here now.

Pfad and Myopia Studios in collaboration with performing artist Valentin Tszin, this video work presents a radical fusion of Butoh and techno, where the performer's body is transformed to digital, virtual disembodied form, through interactive computer graphics and sound-responsive dynamic effects. PREMIERE: Any Act - Moskva-Baghdad (TP016)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Russian-based Any Act. The upcoming EP Ne Bonyatsa unleashes an endurance test of annihilated techno for dance floor demolition. Punk blood runs red across the 5-track EP of unrelenting no-fucks-given energy and adds to an already thriving community of like-minded Russian brethren. It is here where Any Act builds upon this fertile ground and forges new bounds of invigorated punk techno and EBM. This A2 cut, "Moskva-Baghdad", carves out an acid bath of hi jinks and mother tongue vocals on top of world-conscious sounds.

The release is out on digital format + vinyl March 19th on TRAM Planet Records. Pre-order here now.
