New Brvtalism No. 262 - Ôneyra

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Ôneyra. Beginning in Dublin in 2016, she’s moved multiple times between Berlin, London and back to Dublin again taking an influential slice from each city. From running club nights, her own label and building herself up as a Dj and producer, Ôneyra shows no signs of slowing down as she sinks her teeth into all corners of the industry. Her productions are crafted with a subversive darkness trying to escape yet made to pummel the dancefloor.

Her deep dark lullabies scream distortion which coil and constrict the frail edges of reality to bring us into her imaginary world. Her sonic identity, which she continues to build, focuses on industrial and punishing techno. Her mix for The Brvtalist does exactly that. Starting the year off with this massive 2.5 hour journey through her dark, powerful sound. We look forward to more from her this year.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere "Force" by Japanese artist Baroque. Brazilian label Forkha returns with a massive body techno release including 6 tracks from Baroque and Notausgang.

"Body Resistance is about the force that prevents you from following the masses, that resists, that rebels. Your rigid, untouchable body is in a test, an experiment. Your mind is analyzed, your actions are discarded. Some want to dismember your body, invade your mind to settle their flags. It's the race to possess your life. They will implode."

New Brvtalism No. 261 - DRIADA

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from DRIADA. The composer and singer-songwriter from Moscow, also runs the label and event series Routine Records. Starting as a live multi-instrument and singer under the name Alexandra Pride, soon the artist started to produce electronic music under the new name DRIADA, releasing her debut album «Obolochka» which attracted the attention of numerous filmmakers and TV producers. Now, Alexandra films bizarre music videos and creates sound-design for Russian museums of contemporary art. In her music, folk fairy tales meets heavy beats and cyberpunk ambience.

For her New Brvtalism submission, DRIADA recorded her favorite music that she listens to on daily basis, moving away a bit from what is known as her style. At the beginning though, DRIADA records a little sample of her own voice as she always does in mixes. We are thrilled to host this hour of body, wave and techno explorations from one of our favorite artists.

Thanks to everyone who supported New Brvtalism this year. It is our 6th straight year of doing mixes and we are excited for what 2021 will bring!
