The Brvtalist Premieres: Size Pier - Der Vers (Myst)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Size Pier. “Der Vers” comes off the new split and first vinyl release from French event series Myst Paris. Titled Chaines Et Dénuement, the record seeks to become a souvenir of past events while beginning something new for the future. The immersive EP takes us back to the Prologue of the history of Myst and invites two emblematic artists: ABSL & Size Pier. We’ve been fans of Size Pier for years now and “Der Vers” contains his signature mix of dark body grooves and haunting techno vibes for a great way to close out the record.

Out on 12” and digital November 20th. Pre-order yours now on Bandcamp.

Trace Amount - Pop Up Morgues *Video Premiere*

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the new music video for “Pop Up Morgues” by Trace Amount. Endless Render is the brand new six-song EP from Brooklyn based musician, industrial producer Brandon Gallagher (Coarse, Funeral Fires) a.k.a. Trace Amount. The release also features two tracks that include performances by drummer Billy Rymer (The Dillinger Escape Plan, thoughtcrimes).

The effort comes a year after the release of the debut EP “Fake Figures In The Sacred Scriptures”, followed by 2 singles and a Cure cover, all leading up to an inevitable full U.S. spring tour cancellation, and an uncertain look on how to navigate as an ‘artist’ moving forward, relying heavily on expression through the energy of live performances. With the unexpected time at home, Gallagher finished up the tracks that had become Endless Render. After weeks of isolation and quarantine, Gallagher had teamed up with producer Ben Greenberg, who has worked on records for Ceremony, Pharmakon, Metz, as well as his own band Uniform, to help him finish crafting the record a short distance from his apartment at Randall Dunn's recording temple - Circular Ruin, in Brooklyn, New York.

“Pop Up Morgues” video was shot by Ian Perlman and the animations & edit were made by Brandon Gallagher (Trace Amount). The artwork for Endless Render, as well as the single “Processed Violence (In 480P)” was designed by analog collage artist Paul Van Trigt, with direction from Gallagher, based on the album's varying concepts. Endless Render is about all of the uncertainties and varying levels of anxiety that were felt during the times of quarantine, the feelings about the recent upsurge in police brutality and political injustice, and first hand encounters of other people’s ignorance regarding basic human rights in general.

The release is out digitally + tape + merch on November 20th. Pre-order now on Bandcamp!

Notes From A Pandemic by August Skipper

Today we are pleased to present Notes From A Pandemic, a new hardcover book written by August Skipper. Known for his production work with Operant and his solo project Agency, as well as being half of record label Instruments Of Discipline, he now delivers this great work of poems, prose and digital sketches. Notes seeks to document the psychic implosion surrounding the initial period of European quarantine. Taking the form of an abstract journal, a series of short poetry and prose evoke blurred vignettes of near-future conspiracy, personal reflection and weird transcendence; the pieces acting as a corrosive agent, exposing the hidden narrative that emerges between memory, media events and direct experience in the enforced isolation of a single room.

The book will be released as a collaborative audiobook in the following months, the first track included with purchase of the book “The Skin Of Strangers” is a collaboration with Berlin-based artist Cunce (aka Keepsakes). Printed on 48 pages of 115gsm paper, A6 format, hardcover, bound in black cloth with the title and author debossed on the cover and spine.

Notes is a fantastic read, relatable on multiple levels and Skipper’s voice shines through the dark pandemic cloud offering thought provoking shorts to humorous thoughts and beyond. Pick up your copy now on Bandcamp.

Randolph & Mortimer - Enjoy More (Kris Baha Remix)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Randolph & Mortimer. The UK artist continues his tear across the EBM, rave and industrial spectrums releases tracks that are reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s sound while maintaining a fresh perspective of the modern world. “Enjoy More”, taken from the LP Manifesto For A Modern World, is the soundtrack to a decade when the rise of the markets and the Ayn Rand philosophy of Objectivism and it’s belief in Laissez-faire capitalism, a form of capitalism devoid of any regulation, ran rampant. The decade of self-interest, a concern for one’s own advantage and well being, and the obsession with wealth accumulation truly took hold. The aftermath of which we are now dealing with today.

The concept couldn’t be more fitting and now we are thrilled to bring you Kris Baha’s massive remix of the track. The release will be out November 6th on 20 lathe cut transparent 7”, 40 DIY CDs and digital formats. Get yours on Bandcamp.

Kenny Campbell - Disconnected World (MÆDON Remix) (DRØNE)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track by Scottish artist Kenny Campbell on Drøne. Combining techno, industrial and body music, with hints of breaks, acid and even psychedelia at times for a wild trip across, the EP features a nasty and noisy remix from Italian industrial artist Søulless and an absolute monstrous beast of a remix from Sonic Groove artist Maedon. We premiere today Maedon's punishing body techno remix for "Disconnected World" off Drøne's upcoming release, "Blackest Ever Buckfast".

The release is out digitally + tape on November 6th on Bandcamp.
