Arnaud Rebotini - Halloween Theme

The Brvtalist is pleased to present Arnaud Rebotini’s “Halloween Theme”. A rework of the cult classic, the French producer puts his signature touch of electro and italo to create a fresh take on one of the season’s most beloved tunes. From the artist:

The Party that never happened
As our lives today are so much like a bad horror film, too long and boring, and as this year has seen the sacrifice of social and cultural life, I have chosen this Halloween celebration because it is the celebration of youth sublimating the fear of death, but also because it is the symbol of a devouring capitalism where we consume everything and anything without any limit, which leads to nothing but the catastrophe we are living today.

So through this reworking of John Carpenter's theme, I offer you my version of the soundtrack of the burial of our social, cultural and nocturnal lives.

Available now as a free download, it is perhaps the perfect gift for our times. Get it below on the artist’s soundcloud page and these shops: https://backl.ink/143336384

Exist Festival On Root Radio

On Saturday, October 24th, Exist Festival takes over Root Radio for a full day of artists from around the world. Exist Festival’s bi-monthly takeovers aim to build bridges between worldwide artists and local sound innovators, of which many have been displaced, and musicians who are unable to attend the festival in Palestine physically due to the political set of restrictions. ‘Exist Shows’ highlights the brightest musical visionaries in the global electronic, dance and experimental music scene. Seeking to build bridges between local sound innovators, the many that have been displaced and connecting them with the experienced minds to learn from.

From 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Istanbul time), the show will feature: Acamol | Arabian Panther | Behrang Mohammadi | Drew Mcdowall | Hüma Utku | IZ | Khadija | Nidal Taha | Oldyoungman | Shivacult | Søulless | Tegh.

Exist festival takes advantage of the fertility of Palestine's counterculture and injects some of the most brilliant names in sound in Palestine and the worldwide scene.  Exist sees the potential of Palestine's sound innovators and selectors and builds bridges between them and the experienced minds we've invited to learn from and with. Once a year Exist Festival takes place in more than one venue in Ramallah, listing up with some of the brightest names in dance music, experimental sound, and a curated set of talks, panel discussions, reading groups, installations and screenings.

Some of the main principles that Exist uphold is to include resistance to homophobia, and the ongoing colonisation of various parts of the world by state actors or multi-national oligarchs. In turn, we think that this colonisation leaves no one free, and that it especially targets communities (human and non-human) that are most marginalised by capital and historical racial and ethnic structures.

Tune in today on Root radio on Threads: https://soundcloud.com/threadsradio/sets/exist-palestine

Exist festival is founded by Odai Masri, known as ODDZ. And runned by Dina Amro, Nejad Kurdi, Al Radio Venue management and Odai himself. Krake Festival - 10 Years - World Wide Web Edition

The Brvtalist is proud to be collaborating once again with Krake Festival for their 10th anniversary celebration. One of the most important festivals in Berlin, this year obviously presents unprecedented challenges, but that has not stopped the team from creating a unique and innovative festival. Running from December 11-13, we find a diverse array of programming crossing genre boundaries, times zones and media.

On Day 1, they will present 4 shows, amongst which will be an augmented fantasy live performance and a very special combination of a cooking show and b2b2b DJ set.

Day 2 translates a multi-room festival situation into modern times with almost 10 streams happening at the same time. Showcasing different crews from out of Berlin and the rest of the world, it will feature FOLD London, The Crave from The Hague, Mechatronica, Ismus, Universe of Tang and more. The content will be streamed all night long on the Krake website, which allows the visitor to switch between the streams just like you could go and check out different floors and musical & audiovisual concepts at our real-life festival. Line ups include some burners. More info to follow!

Day 3 is all about decompression. The ambient sleep concert is happening all night long, too! With a focus on relaxing and spacious music which you can enjoy alone or with friends chilling and dreaming away on your own couch or in your bed - maybe the most appropriate format for electronic music in these crazy times.

Krake TV:

To expand the streaming format for festivals, the festival has developed Krake TV, a music TV concept with different shows presenting music videos, artist features, comedy in cooperation with backstage - Das DJ Magazin, a drag techno workout and the traditional Krake raffle. There will be 1 hour of Krake TV on all three days.

Person Man Woman Camera TV show:

The call-in Talk show with Dieter Polen and DJ Elliver will discuss the most important and ridiculous issues of our times with their audience.

V.A. music compilation:

To round it off, they are releasing music of some of the key artists who played in the past 10 years. It would have been too much to ask all of them, but we did ask some if they wanted to contribute to a jubilee compilation and now we are happy and proud to be able to present a V.A. compilation with over 70 tracks! The compilation will be released digitally only and sold for a very, very low price. All buyers will automatically take part in our charity raffle/tombola.

Charity raffle/tombola:

The annual label fair won’t happen for obvious reasons - but they are making sure that the raffle will happen once again! Numerous labels have given us huge packages - partly their whole catalogue - and companies such as Irie Daily, Native Instruments, Ableton and Elektron have contributed to the amazing prizes which will be offered. All profits of the ticket sales will be donated to the inclusive project Ick Mach Welle and Seawatch.

All this happening in the World Wide Web!
