Marcus L - Kimchi Slap (ft. Kill.gone) (Intrepid Skin)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Marcus L. The Seoul-based artist and resident of the city’s Faust club lands on SPFDJ’s Intrepid Skin imprint with Kimchi Slap, a wild four track EP that hits hard enough to be felt across the globe. After meeting each other in Seoul in 2018 the two went on to share bills in different continents and now Marcus is the latest addition to an already stellar lineup of releases on Intrepid Skin. Today we premiere the title track which is an outrageous dance floor destroyer about my favorite fermented cabbage dish which features vocals from rapper Kill.gone. The release contains two other originals plus a massive remix from Hadone.

Kimchi Slap is out September 18th on vinyl + digital format. Pick yours up now on Bandcamp.

Evitceles - "Weak Eyes" *Video Premiere*

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new video from Evitceles. Following acclaimed releases for electronic powerhouses as Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes, Seagrave or Sofia-based Amek Collective among others, Bulgarian producer Etien Slavchev presents Нелюбов (Sound + Matter). Roughly translating in English as 'Nonloveʼ itʼs exactly what youʼll get from the record. Нелюбов is mostly occupying the lower ends of both the frequency and the emotional specters of Evitcelesʼ music.

Today we present the video for “Weak Eyes”, one of our favorite tracks on the album and a slow burning, rhythmic work of haunting atmospheres with a trip-hop vibe. The whole album is an incredible work of genre bending tracks and shows the diverse range of Evitceles.

Нелюбов is out September 25th and you can pick it up on now on Bandcamp.

New Brvtalism No. 245 - Elle Dee

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Elle Dee. The Brazilian-born, New York City based artist has been a fixture of the city’s club scene for over a decade. Known for her ability to control a room—shifting between techno, house, and breaks, she is also a trained drummer and has an intuitive understanding of timing and rhythm. Her music selection has helped her land gigs in New York’s fleeting and staple venues like Output, Good Room, and Elsewhere; collaborating with prominent promoters like Resolute and developing her own Techno party, MILD FANTASY. This past March, Elle took the next step and launched the MILD FANTASY label which had a huge first entry which was a collaboration between her and False Witness.

Today we are thrilled to present this brilliant mix which showcases Elle’s diverse musical taste and prowess behind the decks. A hypnotic and tantalizing entry into our series.

Kontain - Americana (Swarm Intelligence Remix) (Instruments of Discipline)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Kontain. The UK-based artist arrives on longtime Brvtalist favorite Instruments of Discipline with Your Job Is To Make Art - a new EP of 4 originals and 2 remixes of his punishing techno sound. Drawing influence from the Manchester scene, but written in the isolation of rural, north-west England, Kontain’s debut EP is rhythmically relentless, buoyed by trippy vocals and distorted percussion, each track lands hard. Today we premiere the crushing “Americana” remix by label-mate Swarm Intelligence. We’ve been enjoying this whole release since hearing it and Kontain is definitely is one of our favorite producers to watch right now.

Out September 4th on digital + limited cassette format. Pick yours up now on Bandcamp.
