New Brvtalism No. 235 - Balrog

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix by Balrog. Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog is a NeoRave and industrial techno producer and DJ who has quickly become one of our favorite artists to watch. The young artist has been on a tear with huge releases on labels like The Meaning Of Rave, COUP, Green Fetish and others and has delivered punishing sets infused with classic hard rave style and grooving techno of the early 2000's with an injection of modern industrial power. We are thrilled to host this massive two-hour set which is an unparalleled journey through Balrog’s sound.

Ober Dada - Azteka Tekno (MANHIGH)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere “Azteka Tekno” from Ober Dada. The Russian artist lands on Berlin’s MANHIGH for an outstanding EBM and techno EP which weaves in elements of Dadaist, Futurist and Suprematist art. The release also features vocal guests from the Krasnodar Opera on "Tomorrow No" and "Erdefalt" and the lyrics are sourced from WWI-era apocalyptic poetry. Today we feature the title track and the release instantly struck me with its infectious sounds and conceptual approach. A totally refreshing take on EBM, techno and beyond which is most welcome during these times.

The EP is out now on 12” and digital formats. Pick yours up on Bandcamp.

The Brvtalist Premieres: Weever - Loyauté (VIVES)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Weever. “Loyauté” comes off the new various artists release which also launches the Rennes-based label VIVES. This is an appropriate name for today’s track which is a slow burning, yet highly toxic mix of industrial, electro and more which quickly infects all systems. In addition, the label has collaborated with French artist Alexandre Viaud for the striking artwork which is also available as a poster.
