The Brvtalist Premieres: Weever - Loyauté (VIVES)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Weever. “Loyauté” comes off the new various artists release which also launches the Rennes-based label VIVES. The name comes from a family of sea fish that bury themselves in the sand and have venomous spines which sting people who walk on them. Their stings often cause severe pain that spreads to the bones. This is an appropriate name for today’s track which is a slow burning, yet highly toxic mix of industrial, electro and more which quickly infects all systems. The release also features music from Clarence Park, Kronom and Distant. In addition, the label has collaborated with French artist Alexandre Viaud for the striking artwork which is also available as a poster.

The release it out June 30th on limited cassette and digital formats. Pick yours up now on Bandcamp.

New Brvtalism No. 234 - Lukr Range

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Lukr Range. The Berlin-based DJ and producer is also the founder of Sønder events and co-runs the Eclectique label. For the past few years she has brought her deep, subversive sets across the German capital and beyond and has already released some great material on Groove Manipulation, SUB Records and most recently on Eclectique with the track “Fire Whisper ft. Marla”. In addition, she also started an electronic music production school in 2018 and that has further unlocked new experiments in sound and collaborations in genres from punk to soul. Today we are thrilled to host this great set which journeys through Range’s diverse sound.

/ Θ Ρ Α Υ Σ Μ Α Τ Α / (Tales of Psychofonia)

Today we are pleased to support a new various artists compilation from Tales of Psychofonia. / Θ Ρ Α Υ Σ Μ Α Τ Α / brings together a diverse group of artists for 12 tracks which showcase some of the most exciting established and emerging artists across the synth, body, techno and industrial genres. In addition, all proceeds from this release will go to Caring For Bristol, to support their precious work with the homeless during these difficult times. From the organization:

We need your support more than ever because whilst you are in the relative safety of your home, isolated and protected, those experiencing homelessness are at great risk and extremely vulnerable. This is perhaps one of the most important letters that I have ever had to write. We are in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic having a profound effect on everyone and all the things we take for granted. Like a home to call our own, a sofa to put our feet up on, friends and family. The team at Caring in Bristol are working at maximum capacity to help avert a catastrophe for vulnerable people in our community. Our services are adapting and changing in the face of continual uncertainty, but we are keeping the needs of those without homes and a safety net at the very front of what we do with their needs more exposed than ever before. Services in Bristol have become strained, some to the point of closure but Caring in Bristol remain committed to being there for our city’s most vulnerable and we will do whatever we can to ensure those people who need our support get it.

To support the release, we are proud to premiere a track from Helena Markos. “The Worst Is Not Pain” is a powerful track that penetrates the body with its hard hitting rhythmic style and ominous vocals. The release is out digitally June 21st and you can pick it up on Bandcamp.
