The Brvtalist Premieres: Dissolt - "We Give"

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Dissolt. The mysterious emerging artist made waves last year by releasing a well received EP and now returns in 2020 with, Hell Has No Fury, the first full length album of a trilogy set to be released this year. “We Give” is a haunting work with rhythmic industrial elements that quickly seeps into the listener’s psyche. With 15 tracks on the record, Hell Has No Fury is powerful statement which exists outside traditional boundaries and offers a cinematic escape from the typical release.

Available now on red marbled vinyl (available here) and out digitally February 14th. For more visit: https://www.dissolt.com/ and follow the artist on Facebook and Instagram.

Sonic Resistance: A Compilation For Rojava

Out today: musical interference against the imperialist war machinery, against capitalism and campaigning to raise awareness about the struggle of the Kurdish freedom movement. Sonic Resistance is a 90 track (!) compilation put together to support the feminist movement in the autonomous area of Northern Syria. All proceeds from the digital sales will be sent directly to the ‘Foundation of the Free Woman in Rojava‘ (Weqfa Jina Azad A Rojava) which is one of the last women’s organization in the area.

The Brvtalist has been a big supporter of Oramics and the Polish organization teamed up with Zurich’s Kashev Tapes to bring us this great act of solidarity and a beautiful show of support for the women of Rojava. More from the label:

Rojava established itself not only in opposition to the Turkish military regime, but also as a grassroots movement redefining the future of the region on its own terms. The Kurdish resistance is advocating for women’s equality, LGBTQIA rights, ecology, sustainability, and democratic confederalism. It has created its own strategies outside western political pressure. The Turkish invasion is not only destroying lives, but also extinguishes any hope for substantial change. The attacking army has superior technology and simply “more of everything” to suppress the revolution in the cruelest manner. We stand with the resistance in northern Syria and the people who defend their autonomy.

In the wake of being opposed to such an absolute violence, we asked ourselves what can we do to support this struggle? How can we engage our community and our skills to defend Rojava? We feel obliged to point out and continue the emancipating history of club music and how it has been connected to equality and freedom movements since the beginning. With the compilation we spread the idea of Rojava through our networks and on the other hand we try to redistribute resources. Although we choose to make music, sometimes very loud and noisy, we can never cease to listen and learn. The revolution in Rojava shows us how deeply entangled we are in postcolonial relations and motivates us to deconstruct existing conditions and structures. That’s how we understand being an ally.

Because the war against equality and freedom is a war against all of us.

The result is 10 tracks of hard hitting techno weapons by names such as Mary Velo, Mickey Knox, Forest People and more. Aikin’s track is a heavy, infectious combination of industrial sounds, rhythmic percussion and beyond.

New Brvtalism No. 216 - Stanislav Glazov

The Brvtalist is proud to present a live set by Stanislav Glazov. The Russian-born, Berlin-based electronic music producer and visual artist delivers a powerful live addition to our series with a work titled, "Hate Poisons Soul", born out of a dream to mix death metal with industrial techno. The piece uses modular synthesizers, guitars and analog devices to look at loneliness and the berserk in the modern world.

For over fifteen years of researching sound, Glazov developed his unique style merging experimental electronic, industrial and techno music. He creates a perfect combination of noise, disharmony and hypnotic techno. At the same time he also concentrates on AudioVisual interaction. Driven by his A/V expertise and a perpetual desire to create unforgettable experiences that inspire a strong emotional response, he adopts an individualized approach for each of his works, creating unique technical algorithms and synchronizing a sound with cinematic visuals and abstract digital shapes. His large-scale spatial-visual art installations and live performances explore meaning and narration within a self-written audio-visual language.

Christophe Clébard - "SpeedSodomieSida" Video Premiere

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a video from Christophe Clébard. The Belgium-based synth punk provocateur comes forth with his latest and final release, "SSS", out February 4th, 2020 on Italian imprint Commando Vanessa. After four albums singing about love and breakups, "SSS" is the last goodbye from Clébard, who is putting an end to this project to possibly adopt a new name and start to wander into other unknown and unnamed territories. "SpeedSodomieSida" is one of our favorite tracks on the album and the video perfectly captures his unique delivery of disorder, confrontation and disarray.

"SSS" is 8 tracks of disco-punk dance violence which summons ghosts from across genres and mediums. The album will be released with different artworks/formats in France via Maison de Retraite and Bloc Note and in Belgium via Swallowing Helmets.

Pre-order yours now at: https://commandovanessa.bandcamp.com/album/sss
