New Brvtalism No. 128 - The Black Lodge

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from The Black Lodge. The Los Angeles based duo is behind some of the best events and releases currently happening in the city and they are known throughout the world for their DJ sets as well.  New Brvtalism No. 128 is a mind bending trip through the open portal to another dimension. The first half of the mix is by Kosmik and Force Placement takes over for the remainder.

Following up on the critically acclaimed Spirits of The Black Lodge Vol. 1, the crew recently released Vol 2. and you can expect more of the same fire from artists like TX CONNECT, Jason Loveland and more. Also, if you're in L.A. don't miss the upcoming gatherings on February 10th with Sneaker DJ and Morah and again on February 24th with Claude Young and Todd Sines. Over the last few years, few collectives have been this impressive and we look forward to much more from the Lodge.

Sub-Age A/W 2018

Back with a vengeance, comes the new collection from Japan's Sub-Age. Continuing on from last season, this collection's theme is "Omikyu - ill omen", which features striking original artwork by Ohiana's acclaimed graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN KOU. Additional items feature the works of Greek artist Ayis Lertas, which are inspired by Satanist imagery and worship.  Alongside these we find a nice variety of left of center standards, many of which draw on the culture of horror movies. The elements combine to create a suburb collection that exudes a haunting energy.

David's Road F/W 2018

Out from the ashes of civilization, comes the new collection from David's Road. The Georgian designer's latest offering showcases his ability to infuse elegance into just about anything. These pieces are equipped for even the harshest cityscape while exuding a subtly powerful sophistication.

Hardwearing materials are a focal point here with leather, mesh and neoprene fusing together to create a dystopian uniform that is ready for every day use. Clean lines clash with destroyed fabrics and oversized sihouttes create a haunting shadow figure.

The Brvtalist Premieres: Operant - "The Sacrifice Of Meaning For Power"

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from OPERANT. "The Sacrifice Of Meaning For Power" comes off the Berlin-based duo's new EP, Harnessed to Flesh, out next month on longtime Brvtalist favorite Instruments of Discipline. The project's third EP offering continues to build on previous works, but Harnessed is even more vicious and destructive. Traversing through an abstract world of bleak melancholia and alarming insurgency, the whole EP is a thrilling release that slashes through industrial, noise, ambient, techno and more. This is one of our favorite tracks on the release, ready to crush the dance floor with its deconstructed take on the classics with enhanced machinery and a lust for power.

With Blush Response back on assistant production and mixing, you can bet this EP hits hard and all five tracks have something unique to say. Out February 12, 2018 on Instruments of Discipline. Pre-order the EP here.

New Brvtalism No. 126 - Unconscious (*Live in London)

The Brvtalist is proud to present a live set from Unconscious. Recorded live on December 16, 2017 at KAOS London, the Italian producer crushes with his evil alchemy of EBM and techno. Also playing that night was New Brvtalism alumni Size Pier, Claus Fuss, Proteus and Choronzon. Another great event from the classic London party.

The producer is already off to a big year with a track on the upcoming EP on Oráculo, along with new material forthcoming on Area Z and Blacksilk. Definitely one to watch in 2018.

The Brvtalist Premieres: Oscar Mulero - "Edges of Mortality"

The Brvtalist is pleased to present a new track from Oscar Mulero. "Edges of Mortality" comes off the legendary artist's new extended EP, Acceptance, out January 18th on Semantica Records. Active since the mid 80's, Mulero has built a storied career unlike few others; from his DJ beginnings in Madrid to sets all over the world and releasing his own material on some of the finest labels, Mulero has been at the forefront of electronic music for decades. Much like his background, Acceptance is a complex release that beautifully connects the dots between techno, ambient and other electronic contemplations. "Edges of Mortality" is a meditative composition which reveals layers of emotions and powerful visions of the future.

Acceptance showcases Mulero's honed technique and progressive approach to his material. The EP's cerebral and rhythmic components make this a must listen. For more visit: Semantica.
