Check out this fantastic salon designed by Kitsch-Nitsch, a Slovenian design duo. This space is very Memphis Style, the post modern style that emerged out of Italy in the early 80′s, which people either love or hate (check out this NY Times article from 2007). I’ve looked through the Kitsch-Nitsch website maybe a couple of times – from the inspiration pages to their blog where I read about their adventures in the Balkans. Their style is reminiscent to what you might see in a copy of Nest Magazine (R.I.P), which was probably the greatest interior design magazine ever created.

James Turrell Retrospective is coming soon to LACMA. May 26th 2013 - April 6th 2014.
"James Turrell: A Retrospective explores nearly fifty years in the career of James Turrell (b. 1943, Los Angeles), a key artist in the Southern California Light and Space movement of the 1960s and 70s. The exhibition includes early geometric light projections, prints and drawings, installations exploring sensory deprivation and seemingly unmodulated fields of colored light, and recent two-dimensional experiments with holograms. One section is devoted to the Turrell masterwork in process, Roden Crater, a site-specific intervention into the landscape just outside Flagstaff, Arizona, which will be presented through models, plans, photographs, and films.”
