The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from obwigszyh. “phate188” comes off the Hungarian artist’s new album, Personal Data, out today on Budapest-based label EXILES. The album is a tremendous work of ambient and left field techno experimentations which was created during isolation. In addition, each track comes with its own artwork and the narrative told by the artists represents different focal points of time and space. “phate188” is a transcendent piece of futuristic electronics that sounds like a soundtrack to another time. The tracks on the album are focal points of my period of isolation, which I spent in Esztergom. Personal Data is the result of two months in which I had very low amounts of musical stimulus and human interaction. Physically, almost nothing. In addition to the energy and mood fluctuations of the material, abstract and rhythmic themes alternate each other.
