The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix by Barnett + Coloccia. One of our favorite projects on the always incredible Blackest Ever Black, Alex Barnett and Faith Coloccia have combined forces on two albums that are truly works of art. Combining elements of dark, sinister electronics and ethereal sonic experiments, both Retrieval and Weld continue to mystify us the more we listen. Exploring both sound and space, their compositions have a philosophical approach that is nearly unrivaled.

The duo are currently in the planning stages for a new album and we can expect the cassette version of Weld to be released soon. In the meantime, both are also active with other endeavors. Alex Barnett has solo project called Champagne Mirrors and will be completing a new tape and shows on the West Coast in late October, including Non Plus Ultra in Los Angeles on the 24th. He is also in Oakeater and they have a full length album, "Aquarius", coming out on SIGE records in the fall of this year. Faith is in a project called Mamiffer and the group has two shows coming up with Chelsea Wolfe on Sept 30th in Vancouver BC and October 2nd in Bellingham WA. Mamiffer has a new record also coming out this fall on SIGE which is a collaboration with Daniel Menche called "Crater".
