At the nexus of fashion and digital culture is Fuenf. The Berlin-based fashion brand oscillates between street style and timeless elegance while maintaining an ethos of craftsmanship and sustainabilty. Since 2016, Russian born designer Ekaterina Zdanowicz-Musina, has created a dark, dystopian journey using fabric as the driving force behind her offerings. Inspired by sub-cultures such as goth, Zdanowicz-Musina has long been involved in the industrial and rhythmic noise scenes and these elements bleed through in the designs.
The collection, titled "Dimensions", is inspired by fractals, natural forms, each part of which repeats the whole. The fractals used for the prints are broken mathematical functions. This concept resonates loudly, as we continuously experience the digital world becoming our primary environment. Made of a wide range of fabrics from cotton to neoprene, the fractals create a new dimension, where fashion extends into technology and our nature world begins to change.
For those in Berlin, we urge you to join us at Arena Club on June 21 to experience, Per Forma: Live Balance. Fuenf will present a site specific fashion installation which will feature new the new collection, "Imperfect Interactions" while infusing it's signature multimedia, dystopian approach. The night will also feature dance performances, photography, a rope installation, DJ set by X tin and live electronics by Robbert Lippok, Byetone, Peter Kirn, Prequel Tapes, Procedural and more. A great event that begins tomorrow at 23:00. For more info ant tickets visit here.
