Polygon w/ CIO D'OR, RROSE in Prague
Some say Prague might be the new Berlin, and considering the events organized by Polygon in the last three years, this statement is not too far from the truth.
Focusing on the dark and experimental side of techno, Polygon is a nomad party collective which doesn’t always settle for the comfort and stability a club can provide, but constantly moves from one venue to another with each event they organize, making it all about the music and the people. However, the locations are never random choices, and they always reflect the aesthetic behind the concept of Polygon. Their journey started in 2013 and since then they hosted raves, among others, in an abandoned train station, an industrial warehouse and, probably the most peculiar, in a former slaughterhouse, which for one night was the home of the Avian label showcase, marking as well the inception of the Polygon label.
While there are still discussions going on about why the techno scene in Prague is not as active as in other European cities, the guys from Polygon are doing a great job at keeping Czech Republic on the European club map. By bringing in names like Alex.Do, Abdulla Rashim and Shifted, while at the same time supporting the local scene through their own label.
Next on the Polygon agenda is 17th of June when Rrose and Cio D’Or will play on the Štvanice island, alongside local support from Polygon and MMXIV. Make sure you RSVP to the event here for more updates.
