M II M invites Canadian duo Emad Dabiri (SARIN) & Matthew Cangiano (Vierance) as Human Performance Lab to play their London debut at the Glove that Fits.
Support comes from London / Bologna-based duo Marmo and selections will be provided by the host, Faux Naif.
Human Performance Lab is the project of Emad Dabiri & Matt Cangiano (SARIN, Vierance). Originally formed out of Toronto in 2014. The duo released their first 12'' earlier this year on Berlin-based Aufnhame + Wiedergabe. Comprising of six tracks the mini-album titled ͞Armed Vision͟ is described by I Die You Die: keeps basslines front and center, passing them through all manner of filters and rhythms while bringing in hints of funk and house to the Electronic Body Music party. Human Performance Lab has also released tracks on compilations put out by X-IMG and Amok Tapes. Having recently played Valencia, Paris, Berlin & Toronto they make their London debut November 8th with a new five track 12” EP to follow soon on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe.
MARMO is an artistic endeavour that sees live improvisation as the ideal outlet for the duo's own interpretation of immersive experimental music. Through the intersection of Techno, Noise and Drone, Christian and Marco orchestrate their intuition in performance, creating immersive sonic spaces inviting anyone willing to investigate the liminal state between the rational and the irrational, where the reason is seduced by the unconscious mind.
