The January installment of director Jason Reitman’s much imitated—but never equaled—landmark program, in which he selects a classic film script and stages a reading before a live audience, is the Live Read production of director Martin Scorsese’s gangster chronicle Goodfellas. Screenplay by Nicholas Pileggi and Martin Scorsese, based on Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi. As per usual, Bing Theater Artist-in-Residence Reitman will announce his cast shortly before the event takes place.
$25 for Film Independent, LACMA Film Club, and The New York Times Film Clubmembers. Members of these three groups can purchase tickets starting at 12 pm on Thursday, December 18. | Limit two tickets per membership. | Proof of member status is required to reserve tickets during advance reservation period.
$35 for LACMA members, students with valid ID, and seniors (62+); $50 for the general public. Members of these groups can purchase tickets starting at 12 pm on Tuesday, December 23 (pending availability). | Limit two tickets.
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets for this event can be picked up at LACMA’s Ticket Office, located in the Hammer Building, on the day of the event—as early as 11 am. Tickets are for general, unreserved seating. Ticketed guests must be in their seat at the advertised start time of the event or seat(s) may be released. All ticket sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.
