Tommy Four Seven (Official)
In a musical landscape that’s often turning towards its rich heritage for inspiration, it’s rare to find an artist as distinctive as British born, Berlin based DJ and producer Tommy Four Seven, who has established himself as a prolific force throughout an enviable career just shy of a decade. Since relocating from London in 2008, he has gone on to position himself as a core member of Chris Liebing’s renowned label CLR, using his own studio in an industrial sector of the city as a base from which to craft the acutely visceral sound he calls his own.
One of the original techno artist/dj pioneers of the NYC techno scene dating back to 1990. Known in contemporary times globally for his pioneering working in crossing the parallel of techno and industrial music. Adam is also behind the production of the well known deep sci fi techno project "Traversable Wormhole" on CLR . He is was one of the first American techno dj's to break into the German scene back in 1992. Was co-owner of the legendary Sonic Groove Records shop in NYC . He currently runs "Sonic Groove" the label on his own. A driving force for modern day hard edged industrialized techno music. Formerly of Brooklyn NY, now living in East Berlin, Adam outside of playing around the world, also is known for organizing high caliber techno events in Berlin in the past years.
Nuit Noire veteran and Mount Analog favorite!
Founder of Droid Recordings and co-founder of Droid Behavior, Drumcell has been one of techno's greatest allies in Southern California in recent times.
Drumcell is the founder of Droid Recordings and co-founder of Droid Behavior along with the Vangelis and Vidal Vargas of Raíz. Since the mid Nineties Drumcell has been a firm believer in the power of techno and over the past decade become one of Southern California’s greatest champions.
JAMAL MOSS AKA HIEROGLYPHIC BEING
An American Sound Artist & Experimental Composer who's musical works and creations are seeded and inspired from Afro-Futurist concepts. Jamal Moss has long been a part of the Chicago house/techno scene as both a Promoter/Producer and DJ. Moss’s first creative endeavors were as part of a crew that created industrial soundscapes / Art Noise for the Liquid Love parties at the famed Powerplant in Chicago from 1989-90. When the Powerplant was closed, Moss and his cohorts started Liquid Sex, which became a magnet for many well-known house artists such as Steve Poindexter, who put Moss in touch with future collaborators the Chicago Bad Boys collective. From the Fall of 1993 - to the Summer of 1996 was Host/DJ for WNUR'S 89.3 StreetBeat Program Showcasing a segment named JACK-FM. He was also taken under the wing of house legend Adonis, who became a key mentor figure in Moss’s life and an inspiration for his moniker: "I decided to give myself meaning and purpose, to honor my father (who gave me life) and my mentor Adonis (who gave me knowledge); I named myself Hieroglyphic Being ” And the last of the line of producers directly influenced by Ron Hardy at the Music Box, which he is uniquely qualified to write a new chapter of Chicago's Rich Musical history.
a new collaboration between Rich Oddie (Orphx, Oureboros, Eschaton etc.) and Huren (Dave Foster, Teste, Obscene Mannequin, etc.). These veterans of industrial noise and fringe techno filth are aiming for new levels of sonic degradation and ritualized catharsis. O/H performances range from fields of droning harmonics to pummeling waves of rhythm and noise, with an emphasis on volume and confrontation.
Shawn O’Sullivan and Katie Rose formed Further Reductions in 2008 as an outlet for their shared passion of electronic dance music. O’Sullivan, known for his recent techno releases as Vapauteen on LIES, 400PPM on Avian and Civil Duty (with Beau Wanzer) on The Corner has been quite active lately blurring the lines between techno and noise music. With Further Reductions, O’Sullivan’s rhythmic sensibility is fused with Rose’s pop leanings to create super lush and atmospheric tracks that work both on and off the dance floor. Informed by the sounds of classic techno and early house, they subtly substitute the structure of functional club music with a more primal absorption based in their unique collaboration. Seductive vocals coupled with organically evolving sequences create a complex narrative that penetrates the subconscious in a way that conventional club music rarely threatens to.
Our bodies are prisons for our souls. Our skin and blood, the iron bars of confinement. But, fear not. All flesh decays. Death turns all to ash. And thus, death frees every soul.
"Psychic Rhythms divined deep within the Sonoran lodge."
Minimalist power electronics and sound collage.
